One night in Seoul

There was a double rainbow when I flew out of Sydney…

I parted my hotel room curtains in Seoul to be greeted with a rainbow as well.

Rainbows on both ends.  I’ll take it to be a good sign 🙂

5 star free hotel night in a funky laneway district.  Can’t get used to the plush though – it’s all hostels from here on!  I took full advantage of my last chance to have a long luxurious bath…at 4am (leftover Hong Kong habits).

Had some yummy spiderweb-looking nutty sweet…like a powdery nut mixture wrapped in Korean fairy floss? The makers/vendors put on an animated performance and even struck a pose 😀

I decided to venture forth as per usual, and stumbled upon a lot of policemen everywhere guarding seemingly nothing at odd hours of the night.

Police presence?

Police presence?

Managed to get stuck out with the last trains to seedy American soldier-ville (nightlife district near their army base).  On the upside, I got to see military police in uniform (enforcing curfew) and I know how to use the subway now! Still, thank goodness for cheaptastic cabs.

6am pick-up at the hotel now for my flight to Madrid.   See you on the other side!

Was Seoul like somewhere in Japan? You must have used your little Cam for those night photos?
Both Mum and I will follow you on this blog and look forward for more photos. Take care!
